Here we go!

So, as you all may or may not know, I am a makeup artist.
I am a professional,
state certified,
and I am too legit to quit.

But here's a quick bio:

I am an Aries [March 29th].
I was born and raised in Chicago, IL.
Art is my origin and I've been drawing since the age of 3.
As I child, I was bored easily which lead me into doing multiple things:
I was in ballet.
I was a tap dancer.
I was in gymnastics.
I was a volleyball player.
I played softball.
I was on the swim team.
I was a pom pon dancer.
I was into a LOT of things.
But nothing ever has and never will get me more excited than MAKEUP.

I seriously ventured into makeup between 2004 and 2005.
I started off doing makeup for my prom, my friends, my co-workers, my family.
Some people didn't take me seriously, but I kept trying.
I didn't know any photographers, so I started doing my own photography.
I started promoting myself on modelmayhem.com & myspace.com in 2005.
Slowly but surely, photographers started to contact me.
I started doing test shoots, working with amateur models, buying books on how to do makeup, and I kept trying.
I continued to promote myself on mybluecarpet.com & facebook.com.
People started calling me for fashion shows and weddings in 2008.
In 2009, I attended Make Up First Academy; School of Make Up Artistry.
I earned my IL State Certification and started networking even more.

It's 2010.
I have film, fashion, runway, jewelry and editorial projects lined up.
I have so much to offer to the world.
I have so much more work ahead of me.
I've been fortunate to be able to work with many wonderful designers, fabulous models, professional photographers, the coolest hairstylists, random people along my journey and the random people I will meet in my future.

I want to thank every one who's helped me, who's hurt me, who's believed in me, who's doubted me, who's loved and hated me. I want to assure you all:
I'm not done yet.

Please enjoy my blog :)
